Our Social Media Growth Continues!
As of today, Crystal Ignition LLC has reached approximately 74 followers on X (formerly known as Twitter) and 36 subscribers on Youtube! We are so excited to see our community continue to grow! we wanted to take a moment here to address the situation on X (formerly known as Twitter) in particular. The studio is aware of the concerning rise in inappropriate and often offensive content that has been allowed to grow on the platform in recent months following the companies acquisition and leadership changes. Crystal Ignition LLC does not condone any form of racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia or discrimination. We do not want to abandon our community on the platform. Currently there are no plans to leave X this year. Rest assured that the team is monitoring the situation very closely. The studio will alert the community if drastic action needs to be taken. Moving on to more positive news:
New Youtube Videos!
On September 30th your humble host returned with another episode of On-Set Stories! This time he talked about the video games that inspired the way he likes to tell stories! Check out the video if you haven’t already and be sure to leave a comment if you haven’t already.
Moving on to our first video of October, this month we return to educational content with a video about five films every filmmaker should watch! We highly recommend you check out the video and leave a comment telling us what you think! Feel free to also recommend a film you think every filmmaker should watch!
October Book Of The Month!
Last but not least we have our book of the month for October. This month we’re recommending The Complete Filmmakers Guide to Film Festivals by Rona Edwards and Monika Skerbelis. Unfortunately this book is no longer available from our friends at Books-A-Million and 2nd&Charles. With that being said we still highly recommend this book if you can find it at your local library or used online. The information in this book is still very relevant and can help new filmmakers entering the world of film festivals.
That’ll bring us to the end of this month’s blog post. Spooky season is our favorite season here at Crystal Ignition and we hope everyone has a great rest of their October. Thank you for reading and we’ll see you all next month. Peace out!
